FAQs

Dental Implants & Restorations

What are dental implants, and why would I need them?

Dental implants are titanium screw-like fixtures surgically placed into your jawbone to serve as a stable root for replacement of a tooth. They help restore chewing function, support speech, smiling aesthetics, and prevent dental bone loss in areas where teeth are missing.

Do you offer guided implant surgery, and how does it help?

Yes. We use digital imaging and 3D planning tools to guide the precise placement of implants. This helps reduce risks, improve accuracy, and promote faster healing.

Can I get an implant immediately after extraction (immediate implant)?

In certain cases, yes. If your bone quality and health conditions permit, you can get an implant placed immediately after extracting a tooth. We’ll carefully review your case to decide whether immediate implant placement is a suitable choice.

How is an oral appliance different from CPAP?

Oral appliances are custom, noninvasive devices worn during sleep to help keep the airway open. They are more comfortable and portable compared to CPAP machines, and ideal for mild to moderate cases or for those who can’t tolerate CPAP. (We evaluate each patient to determine the best approach.)

How do you decide which treatment is best for me?

We take a personalized, case-by-case approach. Based on diagnostics (imaging, exams, health history), we’ll present treatment options that balance effectiveness, timeline, cost, and your personal goals.

Will treatments be painful?

No. We use modern anesthesia and comfort techniques. For more involved procedures, we’ll discuss sedation options and ensure you're as comfortable as possible.

What kind of follow-up or maintenance is required?
